& Disaster Relief Trips
We Know God calls us to help meet the needs of others, to bear one another's burdens.
"Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world."
"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can his faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily food and one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,' but you don't give them what the body needs, what good is it?"
Cornestone works at being intentional about doing our part to help those in need. For this reason we set aside certain Sundays for serving our community. We participate in disaster relief as God leads us to help. We do what we can to help those in our community by offering relief and restoration. We are growing in our knowledge of how to help, so that we don't hurt or enable in our good intentions. This means we team with other churches and organizations to offer rehabilitation and development when relief isn't enough.
